    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Nov. 11 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation
, today will accept the Outstanding Corporation of the Year Award
for its community activities presented by the Greater Detroit Chapter of the
National Society of Fund Raising Executives.
    This annual award is presented by the Chapter in conjunction with National
Philanthropy Day, a day set aside by Congress to recognize those individuals,
corporations, foundations and organizations whose philanthropic activities
contribute so much to our communities and set a standard of philanthropy for
others to emulate.  To qualify for the Outstanding Corporation Award, a
corporation must display outstanding commitment through financial support, and
through encouragement and motivation of others, to take leadership roles
towards philanthropy and community involvement.
    In the metro Detroit area, Federal-Mogul has chosen Big Brothers Big
Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit, the United Way, and the Barbara Ann Karmanos
Cancer Institute as charities of choice, and has developed several employee
involvement programs with these organizations.
