Record Sales Reported by Lexus Dealers in Midwest
   CHICAGO, Nov. 10 -- Lexus dealers in the Midwest posted record
October sales last month, selling 2,513 Lexus cars and sports utility
vehicles, an 11 percent increase over last October when 2,262 vehicles were
sold.
    "The demand for Lexus vehicles in mid-America continues to grow," said
Nancy Davies, general manager for the Lexus Central Area.  "More and more
consumers seek the luxury, quality and value Lexus products deliver."
    In October, the Lexus RX300 sport utility vehicle sales increased by 57
percent.
    The Lexus Central Area completed the 1999 model year with 25,144 sales,
the highest in the 10-year history of Lexus and 25 percent ahead of the 1998
model year when 20,083 vehicles were sold.
    Headquartered in Naperville, Illinois, the Lexus Central Area distributes
Lexus vehicles and provides sales, service, parts and customer service support
to 39 dealers in the 15 states.
