ZAPWORLD.COM Opens New Scooter Production Facility

    SEBASTOPOL, Calif.--Nov. 10, 1999--Pioneer electric vehicle manufacturer ZAPWORLD.COM (OTC BB:ZAPP) announced today that it has expanded production of its ZAPPY electric scooter and hired a manager to organize the expansion.
    The new ZAPPY production facility set a record in its first full month of operation; in October the facility produced 1,583 scooters. Since the scooter was first introduced in the spring of 1998, ZAP has received over 10,000 orders. Located less than a mile from the ZAPWORLD.COM headquarters, the 10,000 sq. ft. building houses all ZAPPY manufacturing and management, including 19 employees.
    To manage the new facility and organize the increased ZAPPY production capacity, ZAP hired Jack O'Donnell. O'Donnell brings more than 25 years of production experience to ZAP, including 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with such companies as IBM and General Semiconductor.
    "I'm excited to join ZAP because of its products and what they mean for the environment," said O'Donnell. "I'm also excited about joining such a young, energetic company and helping raise their manufacturing to a new level."
    O'Donnell has previously worked as a project engineer with IBM where he helped design and streamline manufacturing processes in both domestic and foreign manufacturing operations. Before that he served as Plant Production Supervisor for Dependable Plastics of Fairfield, California and as a Production Manager for a division of General Semiconductor in Tempe, Arizona. The son of an Air Force serviceman, O'Donnell was born in England and moved around for most of his childhood. Today, O'Donnell makes his home in Sonoma County. He has three children and one grandchild.
