Airtech Seeks Approval From Auto Industry
DALLAS--Nov. 9, 1999--Airtech International Group, Inc., (OTC BB:AIRG) announced today that its new Airsopure Model S-999 Auto Air Purification System was submitted to the top three auto manufacturers; General Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Company, Daimler-Chrysler Corporation for evaluation as an approved accessory.Airtech CEO, C.J. Comu and President, John Potter attended the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Trade Show in Las Vegas, during the first week of November. The SEMA Trade show is the largest of its kind in North America and attracts the largest automotive after-market wholesale distributors, purchasing agents and automotive manufacturers around the world.
Airtech CEO C.J. Comu stated, "Once again Airsopure's Model S-999 auto air purification system won the accolades from many diverse companies that can make a big difference in our nationwide product rollout. Airtech had similar response from the International Auto Show in Frankfurt, Germany last month. As previously reported this show generated an initial due-diligence process with CARAT Uniternehmensgruppe, an after-market automotive distributor with 226 distributors and a combined turnover of $2.3 billion. Finalization of the investigative period leading to a possible international purchase agreement with CARAT is projected by years end.
The Model S-999 is an auto air purification system designed to remove up to 99% of microscopic particles and gases found in the cabin of any sedan, van or sport utility vehicle. The S-999 can perform up to 180 air changes in the cabin of a vehicle utilizing a three stage filtration system that destroys bacteria on contact, absorbs gases and captures microscopic particles through a HEPA based filtration system. The S-999 has the ability to remove diesel fumes, tobacco smoke, microscopic road tart, ragweed, pollen, pet dander and odors as well as create a healthy living environment free of contaminants and excessive C02 build up.
Over 16,000,000 new cars and 20,000,000 used cars are sold every year in the United States. It is estimated that the U.S. has over 100,000,000 cars on the road while Europe reports numbers in excess of 150,000,000. Airtech will continue to focus on high profile motor vehicle markets which include auto dealers, wholesale distributors, auto rental companies, auto supply stores, law enforcement agencies and the leisure travel market.
