Lear Corporation Appoints Thomas Sundberg Director - Concept Development Studios for the Technology Division    
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Nov. 8 -- Lear Corporation
today announced the appointment of Thomas Sundberg as Director -- Concept
Development Studios (CDS) for the company's Technology Division.

    In this new position, Sundberg is responsible for managing and expanding
the technologies at Lear's Concept Development Studios (CDS) into a world-
class network through satellite operations.  CDS provides Lear's Customer
Focused Divisions with product development services including computer numeric
controlled milling, rapid prototyping, and cut and sew trimming and
patterning, as well as conceptual clay sculpting.
    Sundberg joined Lear in 1998 as Manager -- Concept Development Center.  He
has more than 25 years of automotive product experience in the area of concept
development.  Prior to joining Lear, he worked as a business owner and
independent consultant with Magna and other Tier-1 suppliers as well as
automotive manufacturers.   He is a member of the Specialty Equipment
Manufacturers Association.
    Sundberg and his wife, Lynne, reside in Northville, Michigan (USA) with
their two children.
