Thrifty Car Rental Names Staff V.P. of Fleet Leasing

    TULSA, Okla., Nov. 8 -- Thrifty Rent-A-Car System, Inc.
announced the promotion of Fred Chesebro to Staff Vice President of Fleet
Leasing, according to Jay Betz, President of Thrifty Car Sales and Executive
Vice President of Fleet at Thrifty Car Rental.
    Chesebro, who was previously Executive Director, Fleet Programs and
Operations at the company, will focus on growing and diversifying Thrifty's
fleet leasing business.  In addition to his nearly eleven years of service to
Thrifty, Chesebro has nearly 15 years combined experience in the industry with
Hertz and Budget.  He will continue to report to Betz.
