Best October Sales in 90's Reported by Nissan's Mid-Atlantic Region - Winning Streak of 12 Months of Year-Over-Year Increases Continues -WASHINGTON, Nov. 5 -- Nissan's Mid-Atlantic Region posted record car and truck sales in October of 6,306 units, a 44.3 percent increase over last year when sales totaled 4,387 units. The region has now posted 12 consecutive months of year-over-year sales increases. The Mid-Atlantic Region's October calendar year-to-date car and truck sales are up 31.1 percent from 44,545 to 58,298 compared to last year. "The all-new Maxima, Xterra and Frontier Crew Cab had strong sales numbers, along with the established Pathfinder and Quest," said Gary Frigo, Regional Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region. "The 2000 models have all been strong since launching this summer. Our dealers are confident Nissan will continue to grow sales of current products and keep adding new products to increase our competitiveness," Frigo added. "The economy in the Mid-Atlantic Region is strong and is being fueled further by an expanding Telecommunications and Internet industry." The Nissan Mid-Atlantic Region includes 141 dealers in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina and Kentucky.
