ADESA Canada Expands Into AlbertaINDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 5 -- ADESA Canada Inc., a leader in the automotive auction industry, today announced it is expanding into Alberta with construction of a new ADESA Calgary auction facility. "With addition of this new facility in the Calgary suburb of Airdrie, ADESA will have five auctions in Canada and a total of 30 across North America," said Jim Hallett, president of ADESA Corporation. "This new auction is part of our plan to aggressively expand in North America while maintaining solid growth at our existing facilities." The new state-of-the-art facility is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2000. It will boost economic growth in Alberta by creating up to 100 new jobs. The complex will be approximately 65 acres in size, featuring four sale lanes, a mechanical repair and reconditioning facility, cafeteria, visitor parking and 24-hour secure vehicle storage. "We are extremely encouraged by the strong customer support for this project and we believe it will be a great success for ADESA Canada and the city of Airdrie," said Brian J.
