ADESA Canada Expands Into Alberta
INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 5 -- ADESA Canada Inc., a leader in the
automotive auction industry, today announced it is expanding into Alberta with
construction of a new ADESA Calgary auction facility.
"With addition of this new facility in the Calgary suburb of Airdrie,
ADESA will have five auctions in Canada and a total of 30 across North
America," said Jim Hallett, president of ADESA Corporation. "This new auction
is part of our plan to aggressively expand in North America while maintaining
solid growth at our existing facilities."
The new state-of-the-art facility is scheduled for completion in the
spring of 2000. It will boost economic growth in Alberta by creating up to
100 new jobs. The complex will be approximately 65 acres in size, featuring
four sale lanes, a mechanical repair and reconditioning facility, cafeteria,
visitor parking and 24-hour secure vehicle storage.
"We are extremely encouraged by the strong customer support for this
project and we believe it will be a great success for ADESA Canada and the
city of Airdrie," said Brian J. Warner, president and chief operating officer
of ADESA Canada.
