Enders Appointed Vice President, Marketing, For Mercedes-Benz USA, Inc.MONTVALE, N.J., Nov. 3 -- Mercedes-Benz USA, Inc., today announced the appointment of Ken Enders to vice president, marketing, at the company's Montvale headquarters, effective immediately. Enders replaces Joachim (Joe) W. Eberhardt who has been promoted to president and CEO of DaimlerChrysler UK. In his new position, Enders will join the company's executive management team, reporting directly to MBUSA president and CEO Paul Halata. Enders will be responsible for all product marketing for passenger cars/light trucks, service, parts and customer care; marketing communications; retail development and engineering services for the U.S. operation. Enders, who has been with MBUSA for 14 years, was most recently general manager, marketing/product management, passenger cars and light trucks. He joined MBUSA in 1985 and held numerous regional and corporate positions before becoming product manager for the C-Class in October 1992. In May 1994, Enders was promoted to general manager, marketing/product management and service/parts/accessories/customer care. In that position he spearheaded MBUSA's industry-leading customer care and satisfaction initiatives and oversaw the development of the company's aggressive parts pricing realignment and service marketing strategy. In September 1996 he was named general manager, marketing/product management, passenger cars and light trucks, and his responsibilities were expanded to include the full spectrum of product marketing activities, including market research, strategic positioning, new product development and launch activities, product and volume planning, and pricing. Enders is a graduate of the State University of New York, Oswego and received his master's degree in Industrial Technology Education from Indiana State. He lives in Warwick, N.Y. with his wife, Linda and his son, Kory.
