Orbital Sciences Corporation Selects AutoTime Time and Labor Collection Software for Two Business Groups
MIAMI LAKES, Fla.--Nov. 3, 1999--Jobs to Meet Stringent Government Auditing Requirements
Applied Automation Techniques, Inc. (AAT) has completed a software installation at the Electronic and Sensor Systems Group of Orbital Sciences Corporations .
The agreement also calls for installation of AutoTime(R) software at Orbital's Space Systems Group early next year.
According to Orbital, the system will ultimately impact nearly 1,900 employees, primarily engineers and program managers, along with a small number of factory workers. Because time will be entered and "validated" immediately, the company expects a dramatic increase in accuracy and substantial decreases in paperwork and "post processing corrections," said Jill Purdy, manager of industrial engineering in Orbital's Electronic and Sensors Systems Group.
She said that AutoTime was selected primarily for its "deep functionality, its easy configurability and the fact that it will integrate with our ERP backbone."
