AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 2 -- Audi of America, Inc.
announced its October sales results in the U.S. with 6,763 automobiles sold, a
46.4 percent increase over the same month last year when sales were 4,619.
These results mark Audi's best October ever and best year-to-date since 1985
with a 44.9 percent increase over the same period last year (1999 year-to-date
sales are 53,509 versus 36,924 last year). With these results, October is
also Audi's third consecutive record sales month.
Of particular note is that early in October, Audi's 1999 sales volume

model ranges. The largest increases came in the A4 and A8 models with 55.6
percent and 46.8 percent respectively. The Audi TT continued to sell at a
brisk rate with 552 sold in the month of October for a total of 3,946 year to

Audi has displayed this kind of year-over-previous-year sales increase for
over four years, or 57 of the last 59 months.
