Donaldson Company Acquires AirMaze; Acquisition Will Add New Core Product Line To Donaldson's Engine Systems and Parts BusinessMINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 2 -- Donaldson Company, Inc. , a leading supplier of filtration systems and replacement parts for engine, industrial and commercial applications, acquired AirMaze, a privately held supplier of heavy duty air and liquid filters, ail/oil separators and high purity air filter products. AirMaze had revenues of approximately $31 million for the twelve months ended June 30, 1999. The acquisition closed today. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed. "AirMaze will be an excellent addition for many reasons. Its industrial compressor first fit and replacement parts business represents a new core product line and market opportunity for the Donaldson Company," said Nick Priadka, senior vice president, Donaldson Engine Systems and Parts. "The addition of high quality filters for air and gas compressors advances Donaldson's overall strategy of providing a comprehensive line of filtration and exhaust products for engine and industrial customers around the world. AirMaze is the leading supplier of air/oil separators and ancillary filters to the North American compressor market. "The balance of AirMaze filter lines adds to our offering of high purity air and specialty liquid filtration products, and strengthens our position in the heavy duty replacement parts market. And the acquisition will strengthen our position with global customers because AirMaze primarily sells its products to large manufacturers with whom Donaldson already has established relationships." Headquartered in Stow, Ohio, AirMaze employs approximately 300 people in the U.S. and has manufacturing facilities in Stow, Ohio, Greeneville, Tenn., and Carpinteria, Calif. Plans call for the AirMaze operations to be part of Donaldson's Engine Systems and Parts business group. Donaldson Company, Inc., with annual revenues approaching $1 billion, is a leading worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and replacement parts. The company's product mix includes: air and liquid filters and exhaust and emission control products for heavy duty mobile equipment; in-plant air cleaning systems; air intake systems and exhaust products for industrial gas turbines; and specialized filters for such diverse applications as computer disk drives, aircraft passenger cabins and semiconductor processing.
