Decoma Brings Advanced Exterior Systems Expertise To DaimlerChrysler Plastic Technology DevelopmentNOVI, Mich., Nov. 1 -- Decoma International Inc.'s support of DaimlerChrysler's inventive new way to make lightweight, affordable vehicles marks the latest contribution of the exterior systems supplier to the automaker's innovative product and process programs. "This is an exciting and challenging project that represents a virtual revolution in how to produce vehicles," said Decoma President and CEO Al Power. "We at Decoma are proud to have been selected by DaimlerChrysler as part of the extended enterprise developing this technology." A world leader in the design, engineering and production of complete exterior vehicle appearance systems, Decoma will manage the prototype development and production of Jeep Wrangler hard tops at the new Detroit Technical Center of Husky Injection Molding Systems of Bolton, Ontario. Decoma has been a supplier of exterior components to DaimlerChrysler for more than 20 years.
