30 October 1999

Supercharged and Turbocharged Versions of the Sporty Eclipse
                              Debut in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS -- On Friday HKS USA, Inc. unveiled two new show cars at the
Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas.
Two modified 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse sports coupes, one supercharged six-cylinder
and one turbocharged four, feature enhancements to the all-new vehicle's
sporty looks and performance and guarantee its continuance as a favorite in
the import performance market.

"While the new 2000 Eclipse represents class-leading performance, we know
there's a segment of enthusiasts who can never get enough horsepower," said
Jerrod Strauss, marketing manager at HKS. "By making bolt-on performance
parts available for the 2000 Eclipse, we'll make sure it remains at the top of
the import-brand tuner's shopping list."

The Eclipse S6, showcased in the HKS booth, is based upon a 3.0 liter,
24-valve, SOHC V-6 Eclipse GT. Representing the first supercharged
application for HKS, the 250+ horsepower Eclipse S6 features an HKS Roots-type
supercharger, HKS Super Mega Flow intake and Drager stainless steel exhaust,
HKS' F-CON fuel management system, 12" Brembo brakes, 19" alloy wheels, HKS
full-body aerodynamic kit, Recaro seats, and monochrome graphics.

The Eclipse T4, displayed in the Enkei Wheels booth, is a turbocharged
version of the 2.4 liter, 16-valve, SOHC four-cylinder Mitsubishi Eclipse RS.
Sporting a HKS turbocharger kit, the 200+ horsepower Eclipse T4 has 18" Enkei
Phalenx wheels and Nitto tires, an aggressive lower stance, an HKS stainless
steel Drager exhaust, HKS Super Mega Flow intake, HKS Turbo Timer, EVC, and
46mm HKS meters.
