Fisher. Daniel Kuzdzal is appointed Vice President - Advanced Engineering, John Lanier is named Vice President - Human Resources and Gail Miciuda is appointed Director - Mirror Operations. Kuzdzal joined Lear in 1995 as a result of Lear's acquisition of Automotive Industries as Director - Core Engineering for the Ford Division. He most recently served as Director - Utility Truck Trim Program for the Ford Division. Prior to joining Automotive Industries in 1984, he held engineering positions at Volkswagen of America, Ford Motor Company and Mayco Plastics. Kuzdzal earned an Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Detroit Engineering Institute in Detroit, Michigan (USA) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Detroit, in Detroit, Michigan (USA). He is a member of the Society of Plastic Engineers and the Society of Automotive Engineers. He and his wife, Barbara, reside in Macomb Township, Michigan (USA) with their three children. As Vice President - Human Resources, Lanier is responsible for leading the human resources function within the Ford Division, ensuring that the human resources initiatives are aligned with business objectives. Lanier joined Lear in May 1999 as a result of Lear's acquisition of United Technologies Automotive (UTA), where he most recently served as Corporate Director - Industrial Relations and Labor Counsel. During his 14 years with UTA's parent company, United Technologies Corporation, he held a number of increasingly responsible human resources positions with both UTA and Carrier Air Conditioning. Lanier earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas (USA) and a Juris Doctorate degree from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio (USA). He is a member of the Michigan State Bar Association, the Texas Bar Association and the Society for Human Resource Management. He and his wife, Anne, reside in Canton, Michigan (USA) with their three children. In her new position, Miciuda is responsible for providing leadership to the division's Mirror Operations in the area of manufacturing, product development, strategic planning and new business. Miciuda joined Lear in May 1999 as part of the company's acquisition of UTA, where she most recently held the position of Commodity Engineering Manager for the Interiors Group. During her five years with UTA, she held both engineering and business management positions. She previously served as a Senior Design Engineer with General Dynamics. Miciuda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Optics from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York (USA). She is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Society of Photo Instrumentation Engineers. She and her husband, Keith, have a daughter and reside in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan (USA).
