National Car Rental Opens Key Locations in Portugal
MINNEAPOLIS--Oct. 26, 1999--National Car Rental today announced that it has expanded its presence in Europe with the establishment of several key locations in Portugal. The move, which further strengthens the company's global presence, follows recent announcements of expansion into Italy and Greece and reflects the National Car Rental's aggressive plans for global growth.National Car Rental recently opened 12 locations including in-terminal desks in Portugal's main international airports at Lisbon, Porto and Faro. Portugal is a major leisure destination and is increasingly becoming known as a top business travel destination.

During 1999, National established 160 new international locations. In July, National Car Rental began operations in Greece and in March the company expanded into Italy.
