A Search for the Annoying, the Bizarre, the Memorable
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Oct. 22, 1999--What driving behavior of other people annoys you the most? What is the strangest thing you've ever done in a vehicle? What is the most memorable bumper sticker you've ever seen?Answer those questions and you could be tooling around town in a 2000 BMW Z3 convertible equipped with Bridgestone UNI-T AQ tires - just for getting some things off your chest and recalling an interesting moment.
Bridgestone/Firestone is conducting an online survey via its consumer tire website to learn more about the universal impact of the automobile on our lives. While that sounds high-tech, the questions obviously aren't. And if your answers are interesting, you may see them posted, anonymously, on our web site. And if you're really lucky, someone from the Nashville-based tire manufacturer could toss you a set of keys to your very own BMW dream machine.
"Many large companies conduct surveys on a regular basis, gathering data to help them perform more efficiently by revealing more about consumer buying patterns," said Michael Fluck, Internet/Marketing Programs Manager, Bridgestone/Firestone. "And they can be boring. We're known for doing things differently, so we decided it was time for a survey that could be fun and interesting."
Fluck says that while the survey will hopefully produce some "really unusual answers," it will also provide insights about driving safety and the mindset of motorists. "It's important for us to understand issues affecting drivers," he said. "While these questions may seem trivial, we hope they help us identify trends and challenges, and point out how we may contribute to better driving in the future."
To participate in the survey, enter the sweepstakes and have a chance at winning the BMW Z3 convertible, visit our website at www.bridgestone-usa.com or www.firestone-usa.com or www.daytontire.com.
"The BMW Z3 convertible is one of the hottest cars on the road today," Fluck said. "We thought it would be a nice reward for someone willing to share the annoying, the bizarre and the memorable. Maybe that annoying driving behavior of others won't be so annoying next year when you wave at fellow drivers from a new BMW Z3 with Potenza S-02 Pole Position tires."
Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., is the largest wholly owned subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation. The company designs, develops and markets a wide range of consumer and commercial products in the U.S. and abroad.
