TOLEDO, Ohio, Oct. 21 -- Dana Corporation's Heavy

Compensation Award. This award was presented to 14 organizations from among

Taft presented the award.
"Everyone at the Marion Forge plant is excited and proud to have been
recognized by the Governor of the state of Ohio for our safety efforts and
performance," said Plant Manager Larry Shump.
"In recent years, the Marion Forge plant's safety programs have received
more awards and recognition than any other plant in the forging industry.
Winning the Governor's Excellence Award, one of the most prestigious
industrial awards in the state of Ohio, is further recognition of our
dedication to safety and continuous improvement," Shump said. Dana's Marion
Forge facility was also a 1999 winner of the Forging Industry Association
