Team Daewoo Wins Big at Prescott Forest Pro Rally

COMPTON, Calif., Oct. 20 -- The Daewoo ProRally Racing Team placed first in the production class at the Pro Nationals in Prescott Forest, Arizona. Forty-four teams were entered in the event held on October 2, 1999. "The Pro Nationals was the toughest rally yet for the sporty, Daewoo Nubira class car," said Peter Malaszuk, the team's lead driver. "The vehicle really proved its performance and durability under some of the toughest racing conditions possible." In only its first year of racing, Team Daewoo has achieved a remarkable record. Prior to the Pro Nationals, they placed 5th at the STPR in Wellsboro, Penn. and 2nd at the Maine Forest ProRally. The next competition for the team will be the Lake Superior ProRally in Houghton, Michigan on October 21-22.
