Delphi Automotive Systems Receives 1999 Family Life Enhancement AwardKOKOMO, Ind., Oct. 19 -- Delphi Delco Electronics Systems, a division of Delphi Automotive Systems , recently received the 1999 Buchanan Counseling Center of Clarian Health Family Life Enhancement Award for innovative employee policies and initiatives focused on family enrichment. Given annually to companies throughout the state that offer the best support for families and that foster family-friendly work environments, Delphi Delco Electronics won the award in the "More Than 1,000 Employees Division" of the four divisions awarded recognition based on company size. Delphi officials accepted the award at the 1999 Family Life Enhancement Awards Celebration banquet at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis. "Work and family are interdependent and two of the most fundamental parts of our lives," said David B. Wohleen, president of Delphi Delco Electronics Systems. "We believe attuning work to accommodate family and making family a valued part of our work culture helps to create the kind of environment that contributes to overall personal and business success. Being recognized by Clarian Health for our efforts in this area is very gratifying." Over the years, Delphi Delco Electronics Systems has instituted many programs and initiatives in support of employees with family in mind.
