Borg-Warner Automotive Declares Quarterly Dividend

    CHICAGO, Oct. 19 -- The board of directors of Borg-Warner
Automotive, Inc. has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.15 per
share on all of the company's issued and outstanding common stock.  The
dividend is payable November 15, 1999 to shareholders of record on November 1,
1999.
