    TROY, Mich., Oct. 18 -- Oxford Automotive, Inc. a leading
Tier 1 OEM automotive supplier today announced the promotion of Nick Parker
from Executive Director of Advanced Engineering to Vice President of Program
Management.  Steven Abelman, President and Chief Executive Officer made the
announcement.

    In his previous role as Director of Advanced Engineering, Parker was
instrumental in the development of world-class process and delivering new
technology and innovation to market in the shortest possible time.  In his new
role, Parker will be accountable for executing the Oxford Automotive Program
Management System.  This involves assembling a cross-functional team that
draws from every aspect of the company to follow each program from design,
launch, production and beyond.
    "We are very excited about the promotion for Parker, due in large because
of his success in managing our product development engineering team.  Global
program management should be comprehensive and cross-functional, I am
confident he will lead us in implementing a continuous and well-coordinated
support of new programs as they move from concept to production," said
Abelman.

positions in the United Kingdom, Canada and North America.  This global
knowledge will complement Oxford Automotive's continued effort of expanding
operations overseas.
