InfoMove Hires Ex-McCaw Executive as President and CEO; Peter Holland Brings More Than 15 Years Experience Leading Wireless Telecom Start-Up Companies
SEATTLE--Oct. 18, 1999--InfoMove, the first company to fully integrate the advantages of the Internet with the car, announced the appointment of Peter Holland as president and CEO.Holland brings more than 15 years experience in the wireless communications industry, having participated in the growth of startup telecommunications companies such as McCaw Cellular and Teletronics Management Services. He will be responsible for securing financing, overseeing the strategic business development, and leading the company's core management team to establish and maintain market leadership in wireless content and services targeted at drivers.
Holland will manage the execution of the company's original business plan that was developed by Brook Lang, who will now assume the role of founder and chairman of InfoMove. Lang also developed InfoMove's technology concept, and has teamed up with industry pioneers in the fields of navigation, traffic, wireless and handheld hardware devices to help him carry out his vision of the company.
Holland joins InfoMove as the company closed a significant angel round of funding.

Prior to joining InfoMove, Holland was president and co-founder of Teletronics Management Services, a consulting firm recently purchased by WesTower Communications that specializes in program management and site development for wireless network operators throughout North America. Previously, he was a managing partner at Nexus Cellular, a cellular operating partnership comprised of executives from McCaw Cellular, where he began his career in the acquisitions division.
In addition to establishing a number of wireless start-up companies, Holland is also on the board of SagePort, an Internet start-up in Seattle. He was also a founding member of Seattle's Young Entrepreneurs Forum, a regional business peer group consisting of fellow start-up company leaders, which has grown to 75 members since the organization was formed in 1992. He is active in a number of local charities in the youth and healthcare fields.
