National Car Rental Announces "Great Florida Dive-In"
MINNEAPOLIS--Oct. 18, 1999--Annual Program Offers Travelers Valuable One-Way Rental Opportunities
National Car Rental today announced it is once again offering its popular "Florida Drive-In, a one-way, time-limited car rental program designed to move portions of its fleet from 35 locations across the United States to Florida where it will serve the needs of wintertime travelers.
From Oct. 22 through Dec. 26, National Car Rental customers traveling to select cities in Florida from many major cities in the Northeast, Southeast and Central United States can take advantage of the low one-way rates with no drop charges and unlimited mileage. Rates start at $14.99 per day and $74.99 per week for a compact car from locations including Hartford, Conn.; Portland, Maine; Boston, Mass.; Pittsburgh, Penn.; LaGuardia Airport in New York, and Washington, D.C.
"The Great Florida Drive-In is a win-win program for National Car Rental and our loyal customers," said Robert Dimmick, corporate vice president of Marketing. "This is the time of year many of our customers are traveling from their homes in the North to their winter homes in sunny Florida. We offer a creative solution for getting our customers inexpensively to their destinations and moving our fleet to Florida for the busy winter travel season."
The offer is available for rentals three days in length to a maximum of 14 days. The last date to pick up a vehicle is Dec. 12, and all rentals must be completed by Dec. 26, 1999. Reservations must be made at least three days in advance. To book a reservation or for more information, call 800 CAR-RENT. Travel agents can book a reservation using rate code FLDR. Available cars include subcompact, mid-size, luxury cars and mini-vans.
