Enterprise Rent-A-Car Announces InFrequent Flyer(TM) Rewards Contest To Recognize Inexperienced Travelers
Online Contest Rewards Travelers With a New Sports Utility Vehicle, Caribbean
Cruises and Computers for Outrageous and Memorable Travel Stories

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 14 -- The search is on for the most memorable
travel tales from the nation's inexperienced travelers. Whether its arriving
at the airport with too much luggage, not realizing that in-flight cocktails
actually cost money or unknowingly running up an outlandish hotel mini-bar
bill, Enterprise Rent-A-Car wants interesting travel stories from the days
when people were new to the travel scene.
The Enterprise Rent-A-Car InFrequent Flyer Rewards Contest is a nationwide
search for the most embarrassing, funniest and outrageous travel stories from
current and former inexperienced travelers. Arthur Frommer, one of the
nation's foremost travel experts and author of hundreds of travel guides, is
partnering with Enterprise on the program and will serve as the contest's
celebrity judge.
Consumers can enter by describing, in 250 words or less, their most
memorable "inexperienced traveler" stories on Enterprise's new online
reservation web site at http://www.enterprise.com . Entries will be judged on
uniqueness and the degree to which the story conveys a traveler's
inexperience. Rewards, including Caribbean cruise packages and Compaq
Presario notebook PCs, will be awarded for the most interesting travel stories
in the following categories: airplane, airport, hotel and rental car. The
grand prize for the best overall story will be a new Chevrolet Tracker.
Enterprise, which grew to be the nation's largest rental car company by
providing rental replacement vehicles to local consumers whose cars were being
repaired, has found that its unique brand of personalized service is also
being embraced by air travelers, as the company has recently expanded its
service to 95 of the top 100 U.S. airports.
"The InFrequent Flyer Rewards Contest is a lighthearted way to highlight
that not everybody is an expert traveler and that many people prefer the more
helpful, personalized brand of service offered by a company such as
Enterprise," said Enterprise President and CEO Andrew Taylor. "The program is
an extension of our distinct brand of service because it demonstrates that
Enterprise respects all customers regardless of how often they travel."
"Companies have traditionally rewarded air travelers for frequent travel,"
says Frommer. "I'm glad to be part of a campaign that finally makes
infrequent and inexperienced travelers feel special, too. Not everybody is a
seasoned business traveler and, for some, the entire travel process can be
intimidating. The fun part of this campaign is that it lets infrequent
travelers know they are just as important as travel veterans."
No purchase is necessary to enter the Enterprise InFrequent Flyer Rewards
Contest. All entries must be received by midnight, Dec. 15, 1999. The
winners will be announced in January. The contest is subject to the official
rules. To obtain a copy of the official rules or submit an entry, consumers
should logon to http://www.enterprise.com or they can write to: Enterprise Rent-A-Car
