Norton Motorcycles, Inc. Announces Licensing Deal for Merchandising in Japan
    MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 14 -- Due to incredibly high demand for
Norton Brand products in Japan, Norton has entered into a licensing agreement
with Ingram Co., Ltd. to produce a line of clothing and other related products
under the name Norton for the Japanese market. Ingram, a Japanese licensing
company with offices in California and New York, will act as "licensing agent"
for Norton in Japan, managing multiple licensees from leather clothing and t-
shirt manufacturers to glove, boot and helmet makers.
    Norton will maintain complete design and quality control over all licensed
products ensuring all merchandise maintains the high standards the company is
famous for. Ingram will also police the Japanese market for counterfeit Norton
merchandise and respond accordingly.
