The Daily Drill Reaches Out to Racing Fans by Sponsoring a Professional Stock Car

    ARLINGTON, Va.--(BW SportsWire)--Oct. 14, 1999--

Users Of The Popular Online Calendar Can Now Support The Daily Drill
"Drill Team" While Keeping Tabs On Their Day

The Daily Drill (http://www.dailydrill.com), a free online calendar for the general public, today announced the associate sponsorship of 25-year-old John Kinder of PowerBase Motorsports, Inc. USAR ProCup Series team.
Being dubbed The Daily Drill "Drill Team," the team will race in the year 2000.
"We are extremely excited to join as an associate sponsor of John in his drive toward the USAR championship," says Tom McClintock, director of marketing, The Daily Drill. "The company, and our members, are huge racing fans and it will be fun to cheer on the team throughout the year. In addition to sponsoring John, we plan to add more race-related features to our site aimed at this very important audience."
"I am incredibly proud to have the support of The Daily Drill," said John Kinder, driver of The Daily Drill "Drill Car." "With the endorsement of The Daily Drill team, online race fans will now be able to experience at home all the action they normally enjoy at the track."
The Daily Drill plans to add many auto racing-related features to its site, including racing photo ThemesSM, daily race news and tidbits, and expanded race event listings. Daily Drill members will also have the ability to follow the schedule and successes of John Kinder and the "Drill Car" by checking out the Drill Car ConnectionSM group calendar.
The Daily Drill has signed as an associate sponsor of the Kinder team for the entire 2000 USAR ProCup series, and a limited number of NASCAR Busch testing sessions and perhaps two or three NASCAR Busch races. Plans call for the team to advance to Busch full time in 2001.
Entering its fifth year of exciting racing action, the USAR ProCup Series has become one of the premier stock car racing series in the United States. Although it is relatively young, taking the green flag on April 30, 1994, it has quickly grown because of an overwhelming response by the fans, drivers and sponsors. The Series awards $1.5-million dollars in purse and points with the 1999 USAR ProCup Series Champion collecting $200,000. The points and purse will increase to $2-million with the Champion's share being $250,000 for the 2000 season. All USAR ProCup races are televised on Speedvision.
