MSC.Software Signs Key Agreements With OmniQuip and J.L. French
LOS ANGELES/COSTA MESA, Calif.--Oct. 13, 1999-- MSC.Software Corporation (MSC) the world's leading supplier of simulation software, has announced the signing of two significant "campus license agreements" with key North American manufacturers, OmniQuip International, Inc. and JL French Automotive Casting Inc.OmniQuip is the largest North American producer of telescopic material handlers and J.L. French is one of the rapidly growing Tier 1 suppliers in the more than $600 billion worldwide automotive supplier market. This announcement supports MSC.Software's strategy to expand its market within Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers and middle-market manufacturers.
A campus license agreement provides MSC's customers with managed access to a broad range of MSC products, including MSC.Nastran and MSC.Patran as well as specific vertical applications such as MSC.Dytran, MSC.Fatigue and MSC.Construct. Through the use of campus licensing, companies are able to allocate specific software resources by project, location or time frame to meet changing workflow.
In addition, campus licensing allows companies to provide a flexible design environment to take advantage of various MSC products increasing productivity of design teams and producing cost effective designs.
