DiLiddo Named President of Amcast Automotive, North America
DAYTON, Ohio--Oct. 13, 1999--Amcast Industrial Corporation announced today that Ronald C. DiLiddo has joined the company as President of Amcast Automotive, North America.DiLiddo was previously General Manager of Valeo S.A.'s North American Wiper Systems and Electric Motor group, which generated annual revenues of $950 million. Prior to Valeo, his most recent assignments included Vice President of Operations for ITT's automotive electrical systems group, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hansford Manufacturing, and various manufacturing positions with General Motors and Delphi.
"Strategically, as well as from a tactical perspective, Ron will lead the North American automotive group to achieve operational excellence and to continue the company's growth in the aluminum component and wheel businesses," said John H. Shuey, chairman and chief executive officer. "Amcast has been successful in securing important positions in these growing markets, and Ron's strong customer focus, operational experience, and leadership will play a critical role in execution of our product launches."
DiLiddo is a graduate of Alfred University, New York, where he received a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering and M.S. in Ceramic Science.
