Perceptron Announces the Formation of a Global Automotive Business DivisionPLYMOUTH, Mich., Oct. 12 -- Perceptron, Inc. today announced the formation of a Global Automotive Business Division. This new division aligns the efforts of our individual automotive business units worldwide and coordinates them under the leadership of Dean Massab, now Sr. Vice President of the Global Automotive Business Division. The General Manager of the European Automotive Business Unit and the leaders of the automotive organizations in Plymouth, Asia and South America will report directly to Mr. Massab. "This new global organization will enable stronger resource coordination and synergy to service an increasingly global customer base," commented Alfred A. Pease, Chairman and CEO. "We are excited about the leverage this new organization provides as we introduce many of our products, such as our IPNet which has been well received by both U.S. and European customers." Mr. Massab commented, "Our customers are global entities seeking solutions that can be applied worldwide. We are continuously looking for ways to ensure that our products and our business processes are designed to meet our customer needs. This global integration of our resources serves that objective." In conjunction with the reorganization, Frank Schoenwitz, Managing Director of the European Automotive Business Unit, has stepped down. Fred Stronk, European Sales Director, will assume the duties of Managing Director until a permanent replacement is identified.
