Meritor Automotive Launches New Investor Relations Website
TROY, Mich., Oct. 6 -- Meritor Automotive, Inc.
today announced the launch of its Investor Relations website, dedicated to
providing timely company information to investors. To access the new site,
visit Meritor's Website at http://www.meritorauto.com , and click on "Investor
Relations" at the top of the first page.
"Our objective is to offer investors immediate and convenient access to
all the pertinent information they'll need to stay up-to-the-minute on
Meritor's progress," explained Paul Ryder, Meritor's vice president of
investor relations. "We'll also continue to fulfill requests for printed
material, but starting today, investors and all interested parties can
retrieve and review the same information on-line, in real time."
Meritor based the design of its new website upon extensive research with
professional and individual investors. Some of the site's special features
include: downloadable financial statements and recent management
presentations; a history of investor-relevant company news releases; an
investor fact sheet; shareowner services information; and, a form to provide
an email address for delivery of future news and notices.
"We will regularly seek feedback from the investment community on our new
website and use it to enhance the site in the future," Ryder said. "Because
of its ease of use and time-sensitive design, investors can feel confident
that this is the first source to consult when they want the most current
information on Meritor. In the near future, our site will also be equipped
with an "electronic personal agent" feature that flags and automatically sends
topic-specific information -- pre-requested by investors," Ryder explained.
Meritor, with 1998 sales of US $3.8 billion, is a global supplier of a
broad range of components and systems for commercial, specialty and light
vehicle OEMs and the aftermarket. Meritor consists of two businesses: Heavy
