CAW Media Briefing At 4:30pm Tuesday, October 5

     TORONTO, Oct. 5 /CNW-PRN/ - Contract talks between the CAW and
DaimlerChrysler continue as the strike deadline approaches at 11:59pm tonight.
The next press briefing by CAW president Buzz Hargrove and CAW master
bargaining committee chairperson Ken Lewenza will be at 4:30pm Tuesday,
October 5 in the Scott Room, 3rd Floor, of the Delta Chelsea Hotel, 33 Gerrard
Street West, Toronto.
     Media outside of Toronto can participate in the briefing by dialling
1-800-478-9326. Modem lines have been installed in the Scott Room. The Scott
Room is available to the press continually up until the deadline.
     The CAW represents 13,800 DaimlerChrysler workers.
