Porsche Reports September U.S. Sales; Year-to-Date Sales Up by 20 Percent

    ATLANTA, Oct. 4 -- Porsche Cars North America, importer and
distributor of Porsche sports cars in the United States, today announced sales
and stock figures for the month of September 1999.  September sales are up by
35 percent over the same period in 1998.  Year-to-date sales for 1999 are up
20 percent over the same period in 1998.  The reduction in Porsche 911 sales
for the month is a result of a supply reduction caused by the new model
changeover.
