Parsons to Acquire Vehicle Emissions Technology Company
PASADENA, Calif.--Oct. 4, 1999--Parsons Corp. Monday announced that it will acquire ProtectAir Inc., a privately held Canadian corporation that provides integrated vehicle emissions inspection and compliance services.The acquisition supports one of Parsons' strategic objectives to expand its capabilities in specialized and high-technology markets.
ProtectAir's areas of expertise include the design, operation and maintenance of emissions inspection programs, software development, hardware/software system integration, auditing services, and personnel training and instruction. Currently, ProtectAir has operations in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Virginia, New Jersey and Ontario, Canada.
This acquisition significantly enhances and complements Parsons' current capability to provide program management, construction management, and operation and maintenance services for vehicle inspection and compliance programs for the reduction of smog-related emissions.
