Roadbind America Inc. Announces the Completion of the Pikes Peak Road Dust Research Project
NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla.--Oct. 4, 1999-- Roadbind America, Inc., a subsidiary of Natural Solutions Corporation (OTC BB:ICEB), announces the completion of the Pikes Peak Road Dust Research Project.Mr. Joseph S. Kroll, Vice President and COO today announced the completion of the Pikes Peak Road Dust Research Project conducted by Dr. Tom Sanders of Colorado State University. Dr. Sanders, is a well respected leader in the field of researching aggregate and material loss on unpaved roadways due to vehicular traffic and weather conditions. He has authored several articles on the subject including the "Relative Effectiveness of Road Dust Suppressants" published in the ASCE Journal of Transportation Engineering in October 1997. Roadbind America, Inc. is the distributor of the patented, environmentally friendly road stabilization and dust control products marketed as RB Ultra(TM) and RB Ultra Plus(TM).
The purpose of the project was to determine the ability of RB Ultra Plus(TM) to reduce the amount of dust and aggregate loss thereby extending the road life of a dirt road.
The stabilization was initiated on Aug. 24th, 1998. Dr. Sanders and his project assistant, Jonathan Addo, P.E., analyzed and evaluated four data sets in 1998 before the road was closed due to snow, and three more data sets in 1999 after the road was re-opened.
Analysis of the data concludes that the road section treated with RB Ultra Plus(TM) performed significantly better than the untreated section, retaining 270% more road fines than the section without RB Ultra Plus(TM). This translates into a longer lasting road with significantly less hazardous dust being generated as well as saving road material from run off into surrounding lakes and streams. According to Dr. Sanders , "even after the spring thaw, the road surface remained hard and the black hue of the additive was still quite apparent".
Natural Solutions Corporation is not surprised by these findings and looks forward to further testing with Dr. Tom Sanders as well as the HITEC/EVTEC evaluation currently underway.
