HDA Parts System, Inc. and Quality Distribution Service Partners, Inc. Finalize Merger

    DEERFIELD, Ill.--Oct. 1, 1999--HDA Parts System and Quality Distribution Service Partners today announced the completion of the merger between their companies. The new Deerfield, IL-based company will be named FleetPride Corporation. FleetPride is the largest independent aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck parts in the nation.
    FleetPride operates more than 160 locations with revenues in excess of $500 million. Each of the company's locations will carry a full line of nationally recognized brand name parts as well as a private brand assortment. In addition, FleetPride will offer in-house re-manufactured products such as brake shoes, transmissions, rear axles and driveline components. Truck and trailer repair services also are offered at a number of locations.
    John Greisch, President and CEO of FleetPride said of the merger, "Through our combined size and strengths we are now able to solidify our position as the leader in the heavy-duty aftermarket. We will continue to pursue our growth strategy in order to complete our national network of parts distribution and service providers.     HDAPS and QDSP were both formed in 1998 by two Los Angeles based private equity firms, Brentwood Associates and Aurora Capital Group, respectively. Brentwood and Aurora, together with certain of their affiliated funds, will be equal shareholders in FleetPride.
