Acura Announces Pricing for 2000 Model Year 3.5RL and NSXTORRANCE, Calif., Sept. 29 -- Acura announced today the 2000 model year pricing for the 3.5RL flagship luxury sedan and the NSX exotic supercar. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2000 3.5RL is $42,000, a modest $100 (0.24%) increase from last year, even with the addition of Acura's Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) system and other refinements to Acura's flagship sedan. Pricing for the Acura NSX supercar remains the same as last year: $84,000 for the NSX Coupe and $88,000 for the NSX-T model with removable hard-top. The 2000 RL is now equipped with Acura's new Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) system as standard equipment. This sophisticated VSA system is designed to assist the driver in maintaining control during cornering, acceleration and sudden collision-avoidance maneuvers by monitoring vehicle dynamics and coordinating the functions of the RL's Traction Control System (TCS) and Antilock Braking System (ABS). In addition, the optional in-dash Acura Navigation System, the only factory option on the RL, now features a Digital Video Disc (DVD) mapping database. This advanced technology now provides coverage of the continental United States on one DVD disc along with over 3.7 million points of interest nationwide, including ATM's, gas stations and restaurants. Acura's exotic NSX supercar, with its unmistakable styling and race- inspired performance capabilities, receives a new perforated leather for its seats, door panels, steering wheel and hand brake, providing better seat ventilation and a sportier, more attractive look. In addition, refinements to the 6-speed manual transmission allow for quicker, smoother gear changes. Both the 3.5RL and NSX join the 3.2TL performance luxury sedan and Integra sports coupes and sport sedans in the Acura lineup for 2000. Pricing for the TL and Integra models have already been released earlier this month (with the exception of the Integra Type R). All 2000 model year Acura automobiles, on sale now at authorized Acura retailers, are covered by a comprehensive 4-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty. Additional ownership benefits include Acura Total Luxury Care (TLC), which provides free 24-hour roadside assistance, concierge service and trip routing.
