Detroit Pump Expands Customer Support Capabilities
                  Dennis Martin to Head Repair Service Group

    DETROIT, Sept. 28 -- Detroit Pump & Mfg. Co. has appointed
Dennis Martin to the new position of Product Support Supervisor.  Martin will
be responsible for coordinating the expanded efforts of Detroit Pump to meet
the day-to-day repair service needs for its customer's rotating and
reciprocating pump equipment.
    "The addition of Dennis Martin allows us to provide increased response to
the repair needs of our municipal, steel, paper, and power generation
customers," said Ron Macey, Vice President of Engineering for Detroit Pump &
Mfg. Co.
    Martin brings over 20-years of rotating equipment repair and rebuild
experience including positions with Ingersoll-Dresser and Ingersoll-Rand as a
product support specialist.  Before that, he held a similar position with
Great Lakes Steel.
    Martin lives in Farmington Hills with his wife and two daughters.  He is a
member of the Farmington Hills Volunteer Fire Department and restores vintage
British sports cars.
    Detroit Pump & Mfg. Co., established in 1926, is a stocking distributor
for 40 of the world's leading fluid handling manufacturers.  The company
provides application support, repair services and process pump products for
automotive, manufacturing, chemical, construction, water resources and
municipal uses.
