Collins & Aikman Strengthens Mexican OperationsTROY, Mich., Sept. 28 -- Collins & Aikman today announced a series of management appointments to the Company's North American Interior Systems Group. The appointments are expected to enhance the focus and efficiency of Collins and Aikman's Mexican operations. The appointments included the following: -- Jose Luis Mateos was promoted from Plant Manager of the Company's Puebla, Mexico, facility to Plant Manger of Collins and Aikman's Queretaro, Mexico, facility. -- Billy Morgan was promoted from Manager of VE/VA at Collins & Aikman's Old Fort, N.C., plant to Quality Manager of C&A Mexico, for C&A's North American Interior Systems Group. -- Alejandro Villegas joined Collins & Aikman as Director, Human Resources, at the Company's Queretaro, Mexico, facility. Prior to joining C&A, Villegas served as Human Resources Manager for Robert Bosch in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Commenting on the appointments, Dennis Hiller, President of Collins & Aikman's North American Automotive Interior Systems Group stated, "The appointments of Mateos, Morgan and Villegas, are an important aspect to the strengthening of our Mexican operations. Their strong track records, automotive backgrounds and leadership skills, in tandem with some of the recent facility actions we've made in Mexico, will further strengthen our operations in this important automotive region and enhance our ability to provide our global customers with industry leading products."
