Tracks: Texas Motorplex Extends Friday Night Racing

Ennis, TX (September 28, 1999) --- The Texas Motorplex has extended its
popular AAA Texas Friday Street Night Racing program to include additional
dates in November. The new dates will be November 5 and November 12.

"This is one of our most popular weekly events and we feel that we can
continue to run into November if the weather will cooperate with us. The AAA
Texas Friday Street Nights are the best time for a young racer or fan to
come out and race his or her car at the track for a nominal fee. We also
have a number of adult racers who just want to run their car or truck for
fun. I have been eager to try and extend the number of Friday events since I
came to the Texas Motorplex," said Greg Morris, Competition Director.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. and time trials will begin at 7 p.m.. Racing will
continue until 11 p.m.. The racer entry fee will remain $15 or $12 for
students with school ID. Spectator entry will remain $8 or $5 for students
