ATLANTICS: Jim Griffith joins Lynx Racing for 2000

        Lynx Racing is proud to announce that engineer Jim Griffith will be
pursuing an opportunity with a new team in the 2000 season.
 
       As with our drivers, Lynx Racing encourages all members of the team
to move up to their full potential when the opportunity arises, and such an
opportunity has opened for Jim Griffith and his wife Pam. 
 
Jim will be moving into an ownership position with a new Atlantic team
created to serve as a base for moving up to CART FedEx competition.  Data
specialist Bruce Potter will also be moving to the new team.

        The as-yet-unnamed new team will be created in conjunction with
Dede Rogers, owner of DSTP racing, Paul Kiebler and other sponsors.  DSTP
has been a top team in the U.S. F2000 series, and Lynx drivers Alex Barron,
Memo Gidley and Buddy Rice have all driven for DSTP prior to moving up to
the Lynx Atlantic team. 

        "We hate to lose Jim and Pam because they are valued members of the
Lynx family," says team co-owner Peggy Haas.  "But it was too great an
opportunity for Jim to ignore, and we wish him all the love and success in
the world."

Next season, Lynx Racing will be entering its 10th year of operation,
looking forward to developing new driving talent, and with a history of
success that includes such drivers as Patrick Carpentier, Alex Barron, Memo
Gidley and Buddy Rice.

        "It's been a great five years with Jim on the team, and we've
enjoyed a lot of success together, including championships in 1996 and
1997," says Lynx team manager Steve Cameron.  "It'll be an interesting
experience to have Jim as a competitor and we look forward to the new
season."

Lynx is already planning a test program for next season that will begin in
Mid-October.  More information about Jim's new team will be forthcoming in
the next few weeks. 

        "Being a member of the Lynx team is something I will always be
proud of," says Griffith.  "It was a difficult decision to leave, but I've
always wanted to compete in CART, and this opportunity was just too good to
pass up."

        Lynx Racing, owned by Peggy Haas and Jackie Doty, is both a
championship-winning racing team and a unique driver development program. 
The team's mission is to seek out young drivers with championship potential
and provide them with the training, resources and opportunity to realize
that potential and make the jump to auto racing's 'major leagues.'

        In addition to Buddy Rice and Mike Conte in the KOOL/Toyota
Atlantic series, Lynx also sponsors a car for the team's first female
driver, Sara Senske, 21, of Kennewick, Washington.  Senske competes in the
Star Mazda Championship, driving a car fielded by Kent Stacy's
championship-winning S3 Racing, and in the Women's Global GT series.
