Las Vegas, NV. September 23, 1999.	The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
Truck Driver's Association (N.C.T.D.A.) held their annual banquet last night
at The Orleans, and for the fourth consecutive year a Transport Driver of
the Year Award was presented.

This year's winner is Curt Bowman, transport driver for the #3 Richard
Childress Racing team. N.C.T.D.A. President Steve Myers presented the
award, sponsored by The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence
(ASE), to Bowman. Bowman received a trophy and a $500 gift certificate for
Snap-on Tools. In addition, ASE will make a donation of $500 in Bowman's
name to his favorite charity.

Ron Weiner, president of ASE, explained his company's involvement with the
award means more than just presenting a trophy. "ASE is pleased to continue
its relationship with the Craftsman Truck Series and the Transport Drivers
Association. The transport driver is an integral part of the entire race
team putting in long hours at the shop, at the track, and driving up and
down our nation's highways. With this award ASE can honor to individuals
such as Mr. Bowman who signify the true meaning of professionalism."

This years runner up was Greg Page, the transport driver for the #55
Gloy-Rahal Racing Team. ASE, primary sponsor of the #2 Team ASE/Ultra
Motorsports Ford, has been the presenting sponsor of this award for three of
its four year existence. Other sponsors making donations at the banquet
included Goodyear, Exide Batteries, Ultra Wheels, Dana, and NAPA.

ASE has been a major sponsor in the truck series since 1996, along with
associate sponsors Ultra Wheels, Wagner Brake Products, Snap-on Tools, and
Valvoline. ASE is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 with the
mission of improving the quality of automotive repair service through the
voluntary testing and certification of technicians. There are over 420,000
ASE-certified technicians working in all types of service repair facilities
in North America.
