Viasystems Value-Added Assemblies and Services Receives ``Investors in People'' Award
LONDON--Sept. 23, 1999-- Viasystems Value-Added Assemblies and Services (VAAS), Boldon, England, received the "Investors in People" award as recognized by the Board of Tyneside Training and Enterprise Council.First introduced in 1990, Investors in People is a national Standard used to encourage businesses to improve their overall performance by developing and motivating their employees in coordination with company objectives. Through the Standard's guidelines, employees improve and expand their skills while employers gain the benefit of experienced people.
Investors in People, UK, a recognized assessment center, conducted a thorough examination of the Boldon facility. After several months of intense dedication and commitment by the employees, and a two-day review by the center, Viasystems VAAS received the "Investors in People" recognition award. "The employees of Viasystems VAAS deserve a great deal of recognition for their efforts," said Barry Revels, general operations manager. "While the success of this endeavor is beneficial to both the company and employees, our customers will benefit as well."
