CCC Introduces New Pathways(R) Solutions for Insurance And Collision Repair IndustriesSolutions Streamline Estimate-Writing Process CHICAGO, Sept. 21 -- CCC Information Services Inc. , the leading supplier of solutions to the auto claims industry, announced today that it has introduced Pathways(R) collision estimating solutions that allow users to speed the process of writing an estimate. Both solutions are based on market needs and extensive usability studies. The new Pathways(R) Appraisal Solution is designed for insurance companies, and the new Pathways(R) Estimating Solution is designed for collision repair facilities. "We gathered input from thousands of insurance and repair facility users to create the most powerful Pathways solutions to date," said Githesh Ramamurthy, CEO of CCC. "We listen to our customers, whether insurance companies or collision repair facilities, and use their input to continually improve our systems. We constantly challenge ourselves to make our solutions better and more powerful so that our customers can do their jobs more efficiently and effectively." CCC's new Pathways solutions make writing estimates simple and fast through streamlined design, more intuitive navigation, greater ease of use and greater flexibility. A simplified interface is pen-compatible for ease of use by users in the field. More concise screens and a simpler visual layout allow users to more quickly move through the screens required to do an estimate. With a "Select from Graphics" tool, users can choose the right part for an estimate simply by clicking on a graphic of the part. An "Auto Compare" feature displays part and labor costs of OE, aftermarket and recycled parts all on one screen, making it easy for users to choose the most economical part. In addition, Pathways Appraisal Solution for insurance companies offers two industry firsts: integrated Digital Imaging and integrated Forms and Correspondence. Both features are optional. Integrated Digital Imaging improves appraiser workflow and efficiency by eliminating the time-consuming process of switching between separate imaging and estimating applications. Integrated Forms and Correspondence allows insurance companies to incorporate their own custom forms and letters into Pathways for instant access by appraisers. Forms are automatically populated with data from the Pathways electronic claim file, improving appraiser efficiency and reducing the risk of human error. Pathways Estimating Solution saves valuable time for repairers with the ability to set up parts code tables by claims office and compare OEM with alternate parts. This new solution also selects standard vehicle options when using VIN decode or manually selecting the vehicle to help ensure estimates are complete and accurate.
