Computing Expertise to CellPort's Growing Network Division

CellPort Labs, Inc., a leading provider of vehicle-based voice and data connectivity systems, today announced that Paul Heller has joined the company as vice president of marketing and sales for CellPort's Network Technologies Division.
Heller's extensive mobile computing experience, including creation of the original cellular-based wireless data network for United Parcel Service (UPS), strengthens CellPort's expertise and senior management experience.
"Our customers are developing cutting-edge systems to connect vehicles to corporate networks via wireless links. Paul Heller's experience planning and implementing major fleet data communication programs will provide our customers a valuable resource for the development of successful wireless internet solutions," said Pat Kennedy, CellPort's CEO. "Coupled with the recent launch of the CP2100 Mobile Network Server, Paul's decision to join CellPort adds tremendous value to our customers."
Heller began his wireless career in 1984 as a consultant with Hatfield Associates where he helped clients design mobile workforce solutions. As a director of business development with Burlington Northern, he helped plan innovative mobile voice and data services. As a UPS division manager, he helped spearhead the company's wireless network that supported 55,000 handheld computers. He founded Heller Consulting in 1993 to provide business consulting services to wireless carrier, semiconductor, equipment manufacturer and automotive clients.
At CellPort, Heller will be in charge of all sales and marketing activities for the new Network Technologies Division. The company recently launched its new CP2100, a mobile network server that provides real-time, wireless connectivity between vehicles and remote applications. "The integration of the Internet with wireless and vehicle systems is extremely exciting, and I look forward to playing a major role in the continued growth and success of CellPort," says Heller.
