Hertz Raises Rates $3 Per Day Nationwide

    PARK RIDGE, N.J.-- Effective today, September 20, The Hertz Corporation, the 
world's largest car rental company will raise all of its non-contract car rental 
prices in the U.S. $3 per day and $20 per week.

    Commenting on the price increase, Frank A. Olson, Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer stated, "Car rental remains one of the best values in the
travel industry."
