     Administrator

WHAT: San Francisco is one of six cities nationwide whose federal
     agencies will share $4 million in matching funds to purchase
     alternative fuel vehicles. The media is invited to participate in
     ride/drive demonstrations. The objective is to provide incentives
     to federal agencies to acquire alternative fuel vehicles.
     Additionally, the program will support existing and expand local
     refueling infrastructure to support the industry. Reducing U.S.
     dependence on foreign oil and improving the air quality in
     participating cities will also be accomplished through finding
     alternatives to gasoline and diesel fuel.
