Fraud Lawsuit Filed for Purchasers of Motorcar Parts & Accessories Inc. Common Stock
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 -- The Law Offices of Steven E. Cauley,
P.A. announced today that a Class Action has been commenced in the United
States District Court for the Central District of California, on behalf of all
purchasers of Motorcar Parts & Accessories Inc. ("Motorcar" or the "Company")
common stock during the period August 1, 1996 through July 30, 1999 (the
"Class Period").
The complaint charges Motorcar and certain of its officers and directors
with violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The complaint alleges
that defendants' false and misleading statements about Motorcar's strong sales
and financial results allowed Motorcar and its top insiders to sell
1.55 million shares in a secondary public offering in November 1997 at
$16.63 per share, and artificially inflate its stock price to Class Period
highs of $20-1/2 on September 30, 1997 and April 22, 1998. On May 24, 1999,
Motorcar revealed a huge loss for fiscal 1999 ("FY99") (ended March 31, 1999).
Motorcar's stock feel by 36% in one day to $7. As Motorcar later revealed
that its financial results for FY97, FY98 and interim FY99 would have to be
restated to reduce previously reported revenues and earnings, its stock fell
to as low as $5 per share.
The Law Offices of Steven E. Cauley have substantial experience in

lawsuit you must file a motion with the court within 60 days of
August 4, 1999. If you have any questions regarding this lawsuit or how you
