Arvin's Purolator Products Division Introduces a Working E-catalog to Website

COLUMBUS, Ind.--Sept. 15, 1999--Purolator Products, a division of Arvin Industries, Inc. , introduces the first automotive filter website to have a working E-catalog that contains both a cross reference and a passenger car and light truck applications look-up, according to Richard Durrer, product manager for Purolator.
"We are very proud to say that Purolator is the first automotive filter manufacturer to offer a complete application look-up by year, manufacturer and engine, in addition to a cross reference look-up," said Mr. Durrer.
The E-catalog includes over 18,000 automotive passenger and light truck listings covering the years 1942-1999, including 58 for the year 2000 models. There are over 89,000 Original Equipment Manufacturers (O.E.M.) cross reference part numbers and 92 different manufacturers in all.
The Purolator website is more user-friendly than other automotive E-catalog designs because of the flexibility in the design of the `pull-down' menus. This allows the consumer to look up applications by year, manufacturer or engine, resulting in a complete listing of all the filters for the specific application. It also allows for a new model search or application cross-reference look up from the answer screen rather than having to start over with a new application.
To access the E-catalog site, go to www.pureoil.com.
