Delco Remy International Unit Names Richard W. Huibregtse as New Vice President of EngineeringANDERSON, Ind., Sept. 15 -- Delco Remy America President, Richard L. Stanley, has named Richard W. Huibregtse as vice president of engineering. Delco Remy America (DRA) is a subsidiary of Delco Remy International . "Rick comes to DRA with an outstanding background in automotive electrical and electronic systems. His global experience will be a great asset," stated Stanley. Vice President of Engineering G. Dale Starks will become vice president of program management. Starks will be responsible for commercialization of several new product families launching production in locations around the world. Huibregtse joins DRA from Delphi Automotive Systems in Anderson where he most recently served as chief engineer for Ignition Systems. Prior to this he had two assignments in Delphi's European Engineering organization. He was manager of European Energy Products based at Delphi's Luxembourg Technical Center. In this position, Huibregtse was responsible for a variety of energy products including generators and charging systems. Prior to that assignment, he served in Portugal as engineering manager in Delphi's Ignition Manufacturing Operations in Seixal. He began his career with Delphi in 1980 as a cooperative student. Following his graduation from General Motors Institute with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with an electrical engineering specialty, he was named manufacturing test equipment & machine controls engineer. Since that time, he has advanced through various positions. Some of the key capabilities Huibregtse brings to DRA include product and process development, manufacturing and value stream leadership including lean manufacturing system design.
